Gluten-Free, Nut Free, Vegan

Serve with fish, chicken, beef, or pork

Makes approx. 1 to 1-1/2 cups



  • 1 heaping cup flat leaf parsley leaves
  • 2 heaping cups cilantro leaves
  • 1 medium garlic clove, coarsely chopped
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 Tablespoons lemon juice
  • ½ cup avocado (about 1 small avocado)
  • 6 Tablespoons water, or more



Place parsley, cilantro, garlic and salt in a food processor or high speed blender. Process until ingredients are chopped. You may need to scrape the bowl down a couple times. Add the lemon juice, avocado, and water. Process until smooth. Add more water if sauce needs to be thinner. Alternatively, you can keep it on the thicker side.
